The food chain of the Liparid
The starts of the food web in the Hadelpelagic zone are detritus, carcasses or bodies of dead animals and chemosynthisizing bacteria. These are the main food source for all sorts of animals. The liparid then eats the animals. Liparids feed on crusteceans and other invertebrates In the Hadelpelagic zone, the liparid is at the top of the food chain because there are no known predators of the liparid discovered by scientists. The Liparid probably gets a good meal every day because there is quite a lot of food!
Here is a video of liparids feeding:
Liparids sure don't eat their greens!
