Liparids are only found in trenches in the Pacific Ocean. I wonder why that is?! Their habitats are: The Chile and Peru trenches nearby South America, as their names suggest, the Kermadec and Tonga trenches located by Samoa and New Zealand, and finally, the Japan trench. The Kermadec and Tonga trenches are near Australia and the International Date Line and the Peru and Chile trenches are located near Peru and Chile

These trenches contain enormous pressure. At the Hadel zone, the pressure is equivalent to 1600 elephants on the roof of a minivan, or 16000 pounds of pressure on each square inch of your body! Even though liparids are adapted to living in these pressures, DON'T GO DOWN THERE; YOU WILL GET CRUSHED.
